Investing in Our Oncology Department
The 2027 Bay Gala is raising funds for a cutting-edge lung program giving Bay County doctors the tools to diagnose earlier, treat smarter, and change outcomes for this community.
The focus of the 2027 Gala fundraising is our Oncology Department, with a focus on our state-of-the-art lung program featuring the Ion robotic-assisted bronchoscopy system and Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) technology. Bay County faces challenging lung cancer statistics, with an incidence rate 15 points higher than the state. Another critical concern is that 66% of cases in Bay County are diagnosed in advanced stages, contributing to a high lung cancer death rate. This comprehensive approach with the ION and EBUS empowers doctors to diagnose and treat lung cancer earlier, when it is more treatable and with greater precision.

FAQ
Will there be parking available?
Yes, we will have complimentary Valet parking available for all attendees. There are limited spots, so we would recommend groups coming together if possible. If you plan to drink at the event, we encourage you to take advantage of rideshare services available.
Will there be live music?
Yes, we will have a live band performing throughout the night!
Is there an open bar?
Upon entry, each guest will receive two complimentary drink tickets. Additional drinks can be purchased at the bar throughout the event (cash and credit cards accepted).
I have a food allergy, who should I tell in order to get a special meal?
Please email taylor@proffittpr.com to request a special allergy-friendly meal by January 22, 2027.
How do I bid on Silent Auction items?
You will receive a text and email with specific directions on how to bid during this year’s silent auction! All bids will be cast electronically. You’ll be notified via text if you won any auction items. Items can be picked up at the end of the event for winning bidders!
Will there be a live auction?
Yes! There will be 4-6 live auction items to bid on during this year’s Gala. You’ll receive your paddle upon entry and all winners will receive their items on the night of.
How do I donate a live/silent auction item?

Can I bring wine for our table?
Please do not bring any outside food or drink to the event or venue.
What to Wear
Diamonds After Dark calls for a little sparkle. Guests are encouraged to dress in black tie or formal attire and embrace the glamour of the evening.
Think long elegant dresses, tailored suits, tuxes and statement accessories — with plenty of room to shine. Guests are invited to incorporate black, jewel tones, metallics, sequins or a touch of sparkle into their look.
