The Heart Behind The Mic

When Brent Lane’s son, Carson, was born prematurely 22 years ago, his family experienced the fear and uncertainty that so many parents face when a newborn needs specialized care. Those moments left a lasting impact on Brent and gave him a deep appreciation for the importance of having expert neonatal care available close to home.

Today, Brent is grateful that families in Northwest Florida have access to the Level III NICU at the Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart. As the voice of Cat Country 98.7 and host of the annual Cat Country Cares for Kids Radiothon, he is passionate about helping ensure that every family has access to the care and support they need during life’s most challenging moments.

“I’ll always be that dad who remembers the worry and uncertainty,” Brent shared. “That’s why this is so personal to me. I want every family to have the peace of mind that comes from knowing help is here when they need it most.”

Through Radiothon, Brent continues to use his voice to support local children and families, helping make exceptional pediatric care possible for generations to come.
