A Flock United for Hope
Posted: Oct 18, 2026

Pink took center stage on Saturday, October 17, as our community came together for the inaugural Flamingo Challenge Bridge Walk for Breast Cancer in support of patients and families at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay.
More than just a walk, the Flamingo Challenge was a reminder of the incredible things that happen when a community comes together. Held in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the event brought together survivors, families, friends and supporters to celebrate strength, honor loved ones and make a meaningful difference for those facing breast cancer.
Sacred Heart is deeply grateful for the partnership of First Commerce Credit Union and Gulf Coast State College, whose generosity and commitment to our community helped bring this new tradition to life.
As Bay County's only not-for-profit cancer center, Ascension Sacred Heart Bay provides personalized care and support for women throughout their cancer journey. Your support helps provide:
• Patient navigation and guidance throughout the cancer journey
• Access to care and critical support services
• Patient support programs for individuals and families
• Advanced cancer technology and innovative treatment resources
• Programs that help remove barriers and improve the patient experience
To our wonderful community partners, participants, volunteers, and supporters—thank you for helping turn every step into hope for the patients and families we serve.
