This year, Cristina Williams gave the invaluable gift of her time and creativity to our community, dedicating herself to decorating a beautiful Christmas tree for our cancer center.
This heartfelt gesture carries a deep personal significance for her. Inspired by her late mother, Frania Nochez, who instilled in her a love for creating beautiful Christmas decor as a form of art, Cristina continued her mother’s legacy after Frania's passing in 2014 from an aggressive form of cancer.
Each piece of decor Cristina crafts is a tribute to her mother's memory and a way to feel her presence in everything she does.
The cancer center holds an especially meaningful place in her heart, as it was here that her husband, Brian, received life-saving care after his 2011 cancer diagnosis. Brian’s journey from patient to survivor, ringing the bell in 2022, marked a powerful chapter of resilience and gratitude for Cristina and her family.
Decorating the cancer center’s tree was not only a way for Cristina to honor her mother but also a heartfelt dedication to all those currently battling cancer, and the loved ones supporting them.
