A Season of Joy: Welcoming a Special New Member to Sacred Paws

We are thrilled to welcome the newest member of our Sacred Paws Facility Dog Program—Joy.

True to her name, Joy brings a special spirit with her, along with a story that makes her arrival even more meaningful. Many in our community may feel an immediate connection, as Joy is already part of our ministry family. She is Birdie’s full sister and the half-sister of Luisa, our very first adult-side facility dog.

Joy will be working at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola, serving adult patients and the families of those experiencing traumatic injuries through our Level I Trauma Center. Her presence will provide comfort, calm, and compassionate support during some of life’s most challenging moments.

As our Sacred Paws family continues to grow, so does our ability to provide healing, comfort, and compassionate presence throughout our ministry. This extraordinary gift ensures the continued impact of a program dedicated to bringing connection, hope, and comfort to everyone who enters our care.
