A Hug of Comfort for Young Patients
Posted: Sep 14, 2025

Nothing brings comfort quite like the embrace of a teddy bear. Thanks to the generosity of Kada’s Promise, more than 130 stuffed animals recently made their way into the arms of children cared for at Studer Family Children’s Hospital and by our Pediatric Trauma Team.
Each bear was delivered with love, offering not just a toy, but a source of comfort during some of the hardest moments a child may face. Whether it is a hospital stay, an unexpected injury, or a critical procedure, these soft companions become something steady to hold onto, a reminder that they are not alone.
For many families, these small gestures carry deep meaning. A simple teddy bear can ease fear, calm worry, and bring a smile in the midst of uncertainty. Behind every gift is the compassion of a community that believes in surrounding children with care and comfort.
As a not-for-profit, Ascension Sacred Heart depends on the generosity of partners like Kada’s Promise to help us go beyond medicine and touch lives with compassion. Together, we are creating moments of healing, hope, and love for our youngest patients and their families.
