Together, We Raised $301,400 for Kids!

Posted: Aug 18, 2025

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Pensacola community, the 7th annual Cat Country Cares for Kids Radiothon raised an astounding $301,400 in support of the Bear Family Foundation Pediatric Oncology Center for Hope at Studer Family Children’s Hospital.

This year’s Radiothon was especially meaningful, as every dollar raised will help bring Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy (LITT) to our hospital—a breakthrough, minimally invasive treatment for children facing brain tumors or epilepsy. Unlike traditional surgery, LITT offers less pain, faster recovery times, and renewed hope for brighter, healthier futures.

The success of this event was possible because of the generosity and dedication of so many. From the listeners who called in to give, to the volunteers who shared their time, to the families and physicians who bravely told their stories on air, the day was filled with compassion and commitment.

We are deeply grateful to all of our sponsors who made this Radiothon possible. A special thank you to Hanto + Clarke, our presenting sponsor, and Gulf Winds Credit Union, our Community Match Sponsor, who inspired even more generosity by doubling donations. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Cat Country 98.7 and WEAR-TV for broadcasting live throughout the day and helping share these stories with thousands across our region.

Radiothon was more than just a fundraiser—it was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve together. By bringing advanced treatments like LITT to Studer Family Children’s Hospital, we are changing the future of pediatric care in Northwest Florida and giving children the chance to heal surrounded by their families and the people who love them most.

Thank you for standing with us to bring health, hope, and healing to every child who walks through our doors.
