Stuffed Animal Pet Adoption Day Brings Comfort and Smiles

Everyone wants something soft and comforting to hold when they’re not feeling their best. This fall, pediatric patients at the Children’s Hospital experienced a day full of joy and imagination during our Stuffed Animal Pet Adoption Day. Each child had the chance to pick out a favorite stuffed animal, give it a name, and officially “adopt” it—with an adoption certificate to make it all official.

This special event was made possible by the generosity of our many community donors. Throughout September and October, countless individuals and organizations participated in our Teddy Bear Drive, donating hundreds of stuffed animals for our young patients.

Thanks to these thoughtful contributions, children were able to find comfort and companionship in their new “pets” during their hospital stay. The soft snuggles and smiling faces reminded everyone that small acts of kindness can make a big difference in a child’s healing journey.
