On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, everyday heroes suited up to celebrate National Superhero Day for the first time at Studer Family Children’s Hospital—and it was nothing short of extraordinary.
This day wasn't about superheroes coming into the hospital. It was about recognizing the quiet strength we see every day. The children in our care are the real superheroes among us.
For one special day, our hospital transformed into a place where courage, resilience, and hope took center stage. Throughout the afternoon, patients and families were celebrated for their incredible strength, while caregivers were recognized for the compassion and dedication they bring each day.
Children received their own custom hero names and took part in activities like Lego building, cookie decorating, and meeting some familiar heroic faces. For children who were unable to join the activities outside, a Parade of Courage moved through the hospital, stopping at each room to honor the strength and spirit of our patients and families.
Moments like these remind us why we do what we do—and the impact of coming together to create joy for our patients and their families.
The truth is simple: the real superheroes are already here.
Thank you to our patients, families, caregivers, and community for making this day so special. We look forward to continuing to celebrate the moments that made it unforgettable.
This meaningful celebration would not have been possible without the support of our incredible community partners. Because of their generosity and presence, our patients felt seen, supported, and truly celebrated.
