During the 2024–2025 year, our dedicated Change Makers Junior Board set out to raise funds to bring comfort and healing to young patients by providing a specially trained facility dog for the Pediatric Operating Room at Sacred Heart. Thanks to their hard work, passion, and overwhelming community support, that goal was met — and we’re thrilled to share that the facility dog has officially arrived and is now working in the Pediatric OR.

This incredible addition is already making a meaningful impact by providing companionship, reducing anxiety, and helping young patients feel safer and more at ease during their surgical experience.
